About us

Aotea is the Maori name for Great Barrier Island, also named The Barrier by the local people. Aotea is a small island of the eastcoast of new zealand. We are one of the members of the small comunity inhabiting the beautiful unspoiled island. We are ispired by the place where we live, and have great respect for the surrounding nature and all her gifts.

All members of the comunity rely on their own wind, solar and generator power and collects spring, river or rainwater. Homegrown vegetables, fruit and herbs from the garden, fresh cought fish and seafood from the ocean, local manuka honey and oil, are only a few things here not being luxury but nessacery. Everthing here is as real and pure as it looks and it is a joy to share aoteas embrace with you.  It blows, grows, flows, lives.....and gives.

We like to be approachable so if you are not confident with ordering online, just email us with your requirements.
